UK Support for Conservation, Grants and Digital Archiving

One Mission, Many Locations – Supporting the UK's Heritage Landscape

Across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, historic buildings are under increasing pressure from climate, age, and underfunding. At Cr8ive Media UK, our mission is to support the people and organisations protecting these structures, wherever they are. Using drone photogrammetry and high-resolution 3D modelling, we offer a powerful way to inspect, record, and preserve heritage buildings across the UK.

Whether it’s a Victorian chimney in Manchester, a castle wall in Conwy, or a remote cottage in the Scottish Borders, our process remains the same: fly safely, document thoroughly, and deliver value through insight.

A Scalable Service for All Types of Projects

We’re equipped for everything from one-off surveys to ongoing monitoring programmes. Our drone work is legally compliant and fully insured, and our outputs can support:

  • Listed building consent applications

  • Long-term asset registers

  • Repair and maintenance planning

  • Grant funding submissions

Because we operate nationally, we’re familiar with the needs of clients in city centres, rural sites, and protected landscapes alike. Every project gets the same attention to detail and professional finish, no matter the postcode.

Norton Priory - Visualising Potential at "The Yard"

A recent project took us to Norton Priory in Cheshire, where we were commissioned to survey a 2.2-acre area known as The Yard — a large, underused space adjacent to this nationally significant heritage site. The aim was to support a major funding bid to transform the site into a commercial hub that would not only aid the long-term sustainability of Norton Priory but also expand its educational offering for schools and community groups.

Using drone photogrammetry, we created a detailed, high-resolution 3D model of the entire yard, capturing the current condition of buildings, hardstanding areas, vegetation, and boundary features. The digital twin offered a complete and accurate visualisation of the site, not only as a condition record but also as a powerful communication tool for stakeholders. The model allowed local authorities, funders, and planning consultants to explore the site remotely in full 3D, removing the need for repeated site visits.

This visual clarity proved especially valuable during early-stage discussions, helping the project team convey both the potential and practical challenges of the site with confidence. It also supported a wider narrative around regeneration, educational access, and community engagement, key themes in the funding application.

The survey was delivered quickly and efficiently, with minimal disruption to the surrounding grounds, and the outputs are now embedded into the ongoing development process. This project highlights how drone-based 3D modelling can go beyond simple documentation to become a strategic tool, enabling site teams to present compelling, data-rich evidence to decision-makers and funding bodies alike.
