Preserving Community Heritage Across the Region, from Bootle to Birkenhead
Supporting Merseyside’s Historic Buildings with Modern Tools
Merseyside is home to an extraordinary variety of heritage buildings from maritime relics and industrial mills to art deco theatres and 19th-century civic halls. At Cr8ive Media UK, we partner with councils, preservation trusts, and community groups to deliver accurate, affordable, and fast heritage documentation using drone-based photogrammetry.

Our 3D models offer detailed, measurable insights that help secure grant funding, prioritise repairs, and reduce the need for disruptive access equipment

Why Our Approach Works for Merseyside
Our technology captures every visible detail of a site, producing high-resolution digital twins of buildings that are at risk. These detailed models are invaluable for planning, conservation, and restoration efforts, providing stakeholders with a clear and shareable understanding of structural conditions.

We’ve designed our approach to suit the wide variety of historic and vulnerable sites found across Merseyside. Whether it’s the red-brick industrial mills, the ornate Gothic churches scattered throughout the region, or the exposed coastal landmarks, our solutions adapt to the specific materials, environments, and structural challenges present in each case.

Our deliverables are tailored to support decision-making and funding applications. Clients receive orthophotos that assist with accurate condition assessments, web-hosted 3D models that can be explored and shared from any device, and annotated visuals that communicate key issues effectively. These are ideal for grant applications, stakeholder presentations, and conservation reports.

Survey Snapshot: Listed Town Hall, North Merseyside
We recently planned a drone survey of a disused municipal town hall in North Merseyside ahead of emergency repairs. Our team planned to complete the scan in just one day, to capture a highly detailed 3D model looking for significant structural issues, not limited to failed lead flashing and serious cracks in the external walls.

With the clarity of the visual evidence we can provide, the client can quickly commission temporary works to prevent further deterioration. They can also use our annotated imagery and web-based model to support a funding application. Within six weeks, we expect them to secure £15,000 grant funding, all from a survey that cost just £675 and required no scaffolding or intrusive access.
